Bhaktivendanta manor
Case Study
Special Event Coverage
BACKGROUND – In 1884, George Villies demolished a 16th Century Tudor House and constructed the mock-Tudor house we see today. In 1973, it was acquired by George Harrison of The Beatles as a gift to ISKON – International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The property was renames Bhaktivendanta Manor and today serves as a vibrant hub for devotees to pray, study and interact.
The main Grade II listed Manor was subject to increasing pressure due to sheer volume of devotees using its facilities. In Dec 2014, an application was submitted to build a small village style hall. Permission was granted in April 2016. A grand ground-breaking ceremony was held with guest of honour, David Cameron, the then UK Prime Minister.
BRIEF – A photo and video team to capture and document the event in it’s entirety.
RESULTS – A team of two photographers and a videographer spent the day at the temple, delivering on the brief.
